The Town of Charlotte is currently creating digital
versions of the tax map information.
When digitizing is complete
(completed February 4, 2008) the
tax maps will be available in the following two
formats:
1)
On this site
visitors will be able to download
tax map sheets as PDF files – essentially a
“picture” of the tax map sheets.
For individual maps,
mouse-over the map you wish to download and
left-click once. For your convenience, maps will
open in separate windows.
2) At
the town office visitors will be able to view the
tax map information as a Geographic Information
System (GIS) data layer using ArcReader on a
computer terminal. The GIS map layer will be linked
to the assessment information. Other GIS data layers
that will be available include flood zones, critical
habitat, waterways and wetlands, roads, and so on.
